Shanghai local government authorities have announced today that the first 205 cinemas in the city will be open to the public from March 28. The question that is on everybody mind: what measures will the theater take to ensure safety?

Obviously, movie goers will be expected to wear masks and temperature will be taken in the entrance areas. Special time will be allocated between movies to allow for disinfection. A lot of work has gone into sourcing attractive new movies for this post-Corona relaunch. The city will also subsidize more than 20.000 tickets every day with prices as low as 10 RMB. Low priced tickets can be had on the Taobao Ticket app from 28 March to 28 April.
